Continuing Professional Development
The practice has been well represented at several recent CPD courses all over the country.

British Equine Veterinary Association Congress
In 2008 for the first time, the congress was held in Liverpool and so, was very convenient for all the vets in the practice. It is one of the most popular and largest equine-only conferences in the world and attracts vets (both speakers and delegates) from around the globe.
All our vets enjoyed this year’s congress with lectures on dentistry, orthopaedics, medicine and studwork.
Obviously there’s also a lot of “catching up” with old friends and colleagues at the social events.
Advanced Surgery Course
This was held at one of the premier horse practices in the country, Rossdales & Partners in Newmarket. There were two days of orthopaedic lectures followed by a full day of practical, hands-on training mainly involving arthroscopy and internal fixation. This was one of the best courses I have attended, especially the practical day, with some of the best orthopaedic vets in the world- Dean Richardson from New Bolton Center, USA,
Tim Greet and Andy Bathe, Newmarket, Hans Wilderjans from Belgium and Bruce Bladon from Newbury.
